Welcome to my website, which collates my research and policy publications.
I work as Lead Economist in the supply-side division (DG-Economics) at the European Central Bank. Previously, I worked with the European Systemic Risk Board, serving its Advisory Scientific Committee and High-Level Task Force on Safe Assets. I was also briefly in the ECB's financial research division (DG-Research). Besides my role at the ECB, I participated in the Euro-nomics group of European economists. As a group, we developed the design of a common euro-denominated safe asset created by pooling and tranching euro government debt. This short article summarizes the idea and how it may be implemented. Over 2015-16 I visited Princeton University's Economics Department and Bendheim Center for Finance. From 2009-12 I was an associate in the Financial Stability Department of the UK Financial Services Authority before its merger with the Bank of England. My degree is in economics, politics and philosophy from Oxford University. |
